Social, health and community services supporting Cardinia Shire

Youth

Cardinia Shire Youth Services
Cardinia Shire Youth Services provide a range of health, well-being, recreation and life skills programs, services, activities and events to young people aged 12-24yrs who live within or have strong links to the Cardinia Shire, enabling them to: build resilience around issues they may face; fulfil their potential; and develop themselves as young adults and community members. The service receives core funding from Council along with a small amount of external funding to implement targeted and specialist programs and/or events. Youth Services actively listens to the voices of young people, families, schools, professionals and local organizations to ensure that service gaps are addressed, and the needs of young people are met. Youth Services are responsible for the management of My Place Youth Facility at Main Street Pakenham which demonstrates that through the co-location of multi-agency and disciplinary youth services that a holistic approach to meeting the needs of young people can be achieved.
