There are numerous opportunities within the shire to strengthen social connections and build a healthier sense of belonging and wellbeing. From interest based to groups just wanting to have fun together, there’s much to offer.


Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre
Local Community Centre. Specific senior sessions include strength training for over 50s, table tennis over 50s, Midway over 60s, Men's group over 50s, seniors computer classes. Non-senior offerings - children's room (playgroup and occasional care) art and craft and exercise, computers and children's dance classes.

Berwick Pakenham Historical Society
Meeting and speakers. The Historical Society meets at the Museum on the first Friday of the month at 8 pm, except in winter (June, July & August) when the meetings are on the first Sunday at 1 pm. We respond to queries from public Have produced several local histories Museum is opening on Sundays 2 to 4.30 pm (except in January) or by appointment at other times.

Cardinia Men's Shed Pakenham
Joining a Men’s Shed doesn’t mean you have to be involved in woodwork, though you can if you want to. It’s more about social inclusion, having a cuppa and a chat with a bunch of friendly mates. Men’s Sheds evolved due to the need to support men in their retirement. So why not come along and talk to a mate. Ladies are also welcome!

Probus Club of Pakenham East
We provide friendship - fellowship and a wide variety of activities for retired and semi-retired men and women through our Special Interest Groups: Cards - Craft - Dine Out - Gardening - Luncheon - Movies - Nomads (Caravan & Cabins) & Walking. Meetings are held on the 3rd. Tuesday of the month (except December and January) at the Cardinia Club, Racecourse Road, Pakenham, at 10.00 am. A morning tea break is taken which allows the opportunity to socialize and meet with friends, followed by a Guest Speaker. The meeting concludes at 12 noon.
