Extended Families Australia run fun, capacity building events in the school holidays for disabled children, a carers Mini Retreat for their families & monthly disabled youth groups for participants who live in Cardinia. We are funded by the State Government HACC program, so we don’t eat into NDIS funds & we can support disabled people who do not have funding too.
LINK Health & Community, early childhood approach NDIS
For children aged 0-9 years. ECEI partners will help connect you and your child with the most appropriate supports in your area, such as the community health centre, educational setting and playgroup, provide some short-term early intervention, help you to request NDIS access if your child requires longer-term early childhood intervention supports.
A community run not for profit group operating a Toy Library for families in Cardinia Shire. Open fortnightly on either Sat or Sunday in school terms. Range of more than 1000 toys for loan. Paid membership.
ParentZone Hub is a multi-agency and service Community Hub for parents, children, carers and the broader community of Cardinia. Parent Education Programs, Webinars, Community Programs, Playgroup, Information and Support Service options, Volunteering Opportunities, Rooms for Hire. Onsite facilities include Community Computer Kiosk, Kitchenette Facilities and Maternal Child Health Services.
School Attendance Support Program (SASP) is an innovative program, offered to primary schools that aims to support children and their families to improve primary school attendance. SASP is a free and voluntary service with referrals made via the school. If you would like support please talk to your school or contact SASP on 03 5945 3900.
