Parent Pathways Program


Parent Pathways is a voluntary service that offers personalised and financial support to eligible parents and carers of young children, to help them discover what is next on their journey. This program is focussed on the individual needs of parents who are considering their next step, be it training or education or re-entering the workforce. With the help of a qualified mentor, eligible parents and carers can receive flexible support to identify and realise their study and career goals, and balance these with their family responsibilities.

Service Area:

Eligibility Criteria: The service is for parents and carers who: • Have a child aged under 6 years • Are not in paid employment • Live in a non-remote area • Are in receipt of one of the following payments: Parenting Payment, Carer Payment or Special Benefit • Eligibility includes those who are not getting a Centrelink payment, and: Under 22 years old, an early school leaver (parents who don’t have a year 12 qualification) or A First Nations parent or carer
